Even though Banned Books Week is technically just the first week in October, we’re not going to let that stop us from celebrating banned books and discussing this issue. Even though it may not seem like a big election year, we have really important things on our ballots! Depending on where you live, that’s city councils, school millages and a major library millage.
Election season has started and it’s time to rally our friends, family and neighbors to vote in these important local elections! Come for snacks and some fun conversations as we learn to use the RWB Rally tool to help us win! We’ll celebrate banned book week with some fun banned book prizes. BONUS: We will have an extra half hour after our meet up to shop for all kinds of books (banned and not!) and gifts at the Books and Mortar.
