ABOUT: Celebrate Women’s History Month with a free walking tour in Downtown Grand Rapids. Hear inspiring stories about remarkable women who have made an impact.
This walking tour was inspired by the bestselling book “Rad American Women A-Z” by Kate Schatz, the tour features 27 works of public art on electrical boxes featuring portraits of #RadWomen from Angela Davis to Zora Neale Hurston. Learn about each public figure and the Rad Local Artist behind each artwork. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and be inspired!

– One-hour walking tour around Downtown.
– We Walk In All Weather: Rain, shine or snow.
– No Registration Required – just drop in!
PARKING:
– Limited street parking is available on Monroe Center St NW and Ottawa Ave NW.
– Monroe Center Ramp at 37 Ionia Ave NW.
– Louis-Campau Ramp at 300 Monroe NW.

ABOUT RAD WOMEN PUBLIC ART PROJECT:
In 2019, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. worked closely with The City of Grand Rapids, Lions & Rabbits and other partners to launch the Rad Women A-Z Initiative. The project is inspired by “Rad American Women A-Z: Rebels, Trailblazers and Visionaries Who Shaped Our History… And Our Future!” a New York Times bestselling book written by Kate Schatz and illustrated by Miriam Klein Stahl.
