Join committed partners, area business leaders, program participants, and community champions for an engaging and inspiring evening. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of People First Economy, our program areas, our financials, and some new friends.
We’re excited to include some Local First favorites like a Mini Fork Fest, a Member Marketplace, and the 2023 Annual Reporting Presentation! This event is wheelchair accessible. Service animals specifically trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome. No other animals, including pets, therapy animals, or emotional support animals, are allowed.

Land Acknowledgement
Grand Rapids occupies the contemporary and ancestral homelands of three Anishinaabe nations of the Council of Three Fires: the Ojibwe, Ottawa, and Potawatomi People. We understand that acknowledgment by itself is a small gesture and People First Economy continues to do the ongoing work of coupling land acknowledgments with authentic relationships and informed action. But we also know that naming can be an exercise in power so we are taking this step toward honoring Native communities and enacting the much larger project of decolonization and reconciliation. 5% of event proceeds will go towards the Michigan based Native Justice Coalition. Safety Expectations:
To meet safely, event attendees are expected to adhere to current CDC recommendations. Masks are optional and we have developed a sticker system to identify attendees’ comfort levels. Changes to this protocol will be made when/if necessary. The new COVID vaccine is available at your local pharmacy. We ask any attendant that is experiencing symptoms to stay home. Before You Throw Out “Expired” Tests: Check FDA’s website to see if your COVID-19 tests’ expiration dates have been extended.
This event will be photographed by People First Economy team members. By choosing to come to this event, you are consenting to having your photo taken for social media purposes.
