LaughFest: Night at the Museum will take place on Wednesday, March 6, featuring comedians Dave Dyer and Nardos Osterhart. Dave Dyer performed in 2022 and is excited to grace the Meijer Theater stage again in 2024. Nardos Osterhart will be making her GRPM debut with an impressive resume including the title of Funniest Person in Grand Rapids in 2013.
Tickets are $25, with a reduced price of $20 each for GRPM members. Tickets are available now at tickets.grpm.org/events. will Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Cash bars will be available.
Dave Dyer Van Slooten has been performing stand-up at comedy clubs, theaters, and corporate events for over twenty-five years. He’s worked with some of the best comics in the industry including Mike Birbiglia, Jim Breuer, and Lewis Black. He’s been a contributing writer to NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “ABC’s Politically Incorrect”. He’s a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show” and often appears on the roster for their “Friends of The Bob and Tom Show” comedy tour. He has a DryBar Comedy Special called “Further Along than Anyone Expected” with over 1 million views. At the age of 49, Dave became a Paid-On-Call Firefighter with Grand Rapids Township Fire Department and at the age of 53, became a Full-Time firefighter with that same department. In November of 2021, he had the honor of being a presenter at the prestigious TEDx Detroit event where he spoke about his careers in both comedy and the fire service.
Nardos Osterhart has been doing standup since 2012 and won the Funniest Person in Grand Rapids contest in 2013. She’s produced two successful one woman shows, and an album called ‘Nice Try’ in 2019 that hit number one on iTunes. It can be heard on Sirius XM and Spotify. Her humor highlights the absurdities of everyday life, memories from the past, and parenting fails. Nardos’ comedic influences are Dave Chappelle, Nate Bargatze, and John Mulaney.
