Experience Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming during this program designed especially for Scouts! Focusing on the Shapes in Nature and Bugs badges, participants will rotate through various activities that help complete badge requirements while exploring how, why, and when butterflies fly.

Using scientists’ tools, compare and contrast wings from different species, engage in butterfly-themed activities, and receive a take-home art activity kit. A special event patch is available for purchase in the DeVos–Keeler Gift Shop. Troops must register at least two weeks in advance.

Fee: $7 per scout or sibling | One leader is free | $5.50 for one additional leader | $14 per additional adult chaperone—no charge for adult members and children aged two years and under. Members must present membership card upon check-in.
