This will be a sound bath like no other!\n\nUnder the domed ceiling of the planetarium\, we’ll spend 60 minutes immersing in sound from meditative instruments while a tailored projection of the night sky is played overhead on the planetarium ceiling.\n\nThe purpose of a sound bath is relaxation; the sound waves affect the smallest structures of the body and help to rebalance and recalibrate all systems in the body.\n\nAppropriate for all\, 10 years and older. DESCRIPTION:Sarena Rae released her original debut single and music video “You’re Beautiful” at the young age of 16. From this initial success\, Sarena has continued to grow in the West Michigan music community. In 2019\, she recorded her original EP entitled Heaven at Thirdcoast Recording Studios and released her EP in the fall of 2020. Sarena is a vocalist in the local cover band Brena\, a producer and lead vocalist for the Michigan chapter of the international Musicians League “Bluewater Kings”\, a board member of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center\, and the founder of Music That Raised Us.\n\nEach show begins at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Performers will play two sets with a short intermission in between. Refreshments\, beer and other beverages will be available for purchase. DESCRIPTION:Sarena Rae released her original debut single and music video “You’re Beautiful” at the young age of 16. From this initial success\, Sarena has continued to grow in the West Michigan music community. In 2019\, she recorded her original EP entitled Heaven at Thirdcoast Recording Studios and released her EP in the fall of 2020. Sarena is a vocalist in the local cover band Brena\, a producer and lead vocalist for the Michigan chapter of the international Musicians League “Bluewater Kings”\, a board member of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center\, and the founder of Music That Raised Us.\n\nEach show begins at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Performers will play two sets with a short intermission in between. Refreshments\, beer and other beverages will be available for purchase. Jewell is an interviewer\, a writer\, a regular keynote speaker at national gardening conventions\, and creator and host of the national award-winning weekly public radio program and podcast Cultivating Place: Conversations on Natural History and the Human Impulse to Garden. In her presentation\, Jewell will explore the philosophy of Cultivating Place and walk you through the power of gardens and gardeners as exemplified by the subjects of her podcast. Together her books—The Earth in Her Hands: 75 Extraordinary Women Working in the World of Plants\, Under the Western Skies: Visionary Gardens from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Coast\, and What We Sow: On the Personal Ecological and Cultural Significance of Seeds—and the inspiring Midwestern gardens and gardeners she has collaborated with throughout her career are blueprints\, guiding us in ways we can all grow our world better: more beautiful and braver.\nThe Earth in Her Hands and What We Sow will be available for sale in the DeVos-Keeler Gift Shop.
